    Ajour, Siegfried De Buck

As a contemporary jewellery designer and silversmith, Siegfried De Buck plays an important role in the development of Belgian goldsmithing. His career, in which craftsmanship and elegance are at the heart of things, spans over 30 years and bears witness to a great personality. Due to his continuous drive for innovation, one discerns various style periods within his design work. Led by his sense of materials, the designer merges precious and non-precious materials to form unique pieces. Ajour shows the jewellery of Siegfried De Buck in several images made by Luc Derycke, who placed the jewellery in a certain, almost nostalgic, context. Bart Janssen wrote several poems that capture the feeling, which the jewellery potentially evokes within the viewer.

Study Book (Drawing Papers 59), Joëlle Tuerlinckx

Exhibition catalogue that turned out to be a true artist book made up of hundreds of b/w photographs taken by Tuerlinkx forming a radical walk-through of her exhibition 'Drawing Inventory' at the Drawing Center, New York (25.05–22.04.2006).

“Coopting the living museum as a found object and employing its empty forms - vitrines, labels, walls, and frames - to probe, measure, and reconfigure the relations between objects and people within the institutional setting, Tuerlinckx is a provocative operator.”

    Se Busco Recompensa, Jonathan Hernandez

Reward Wanted encompassed three years of gathering lost dog leaflets posted in Mexico City. This collection of 104 documents added up in iddle times during which I traveled from one place to the next, or simply strolled aimlessly through different parts of the city. The result conveys a tragicomical network of personal and emotive messages, and also transpires a political and social plot. The kidnapping of people is still common in Mexico, this habitual practice derives in new modalities, such as the express abduction of dogs. (JH)
