    €15.00

Small catalogue published on the occasion of the exhibition 'Andy Warhol – Crude Icons' at Galerie Chantal Crousel, Paris (22.10–05.12.2009).

The 13 works reunited here under the denominator Crude Icons allow us to enter the most hidden part of the artist’s studio. Sometimes they are studies of form, simple or repeated, drawn in graphite or painted with synthetic polymer on paper, sometimes they are complex collages, composed of graphite or silkscreen drawings and collaged with coloured paper.

About Flowers & Taxis, Werner Mannaers

    €29.00

Published on the occasion of Werner Mannaers' exposition 'About Flowers & Taxis' at De Garage-Cultuurcentrum Mechelen (16.01.–14.03.2010).

Active for some thirty years as a painter, Mannaers is a typical example of the artist whose life and being are felt in every fibre of the canvas or paper. As in a diary he digest the emotions of the day in his drawings. Deepened and purified they find a way into his paintings. Erudite and permeated by a great art historical understanding he brings different aspects, trends and influences from art, literature and philosophy together. Sometimes harmonious and serious, sometimes as an ironic clash of images, but often without any distinction between high and low culture.

'ni apparence ni illusion', Joseph Kosuth

    €49.00

Published on the occasion of Joseph Kosuth's installation 'Neither Appearance Nor Illusion', an exhibition in the Medieval Louvre, October 22nd 2009 to June 21st 2010.

Joseph Kosuth installed on the foundation walls of the original Louvre palace 15 neon text lines he appropriated from an artwork he developed to be read on the Internet, a project for young artists at the Brooklyn Museum. In this context combining a medieval archeological site with a historical art institution the exhibition circuit unfolds the field of potential meanings that always has been the hallmark of Kosuth installations.
Entitled 'Neither Appearance Nor Illusion' in reference to Nietzsche, it is undoubtedly one of the artist's most successful and spectacular interventions to date.

Texts by Henri Loyrette, Marie-Laure Bernardac and John Welchman and an interview between Joseph Kosuth & Jacinto Lageira.

This publication gives an overview of the paintings of Belgian artist, Karin Hanssen (b. Antwerp, 1960). It deals with the period from 1994 up to and including 2009. 'The Thrill of it All' is the title of the screwball comedy (with Doris Day in the lead - filmed in 1963), which served as the inspiration for Karin Hanssen's work. Book, a Room, Frank Depoorter & Lore Rabaut

    €29.00

Published as a part of the exhibition 'Book, A Room' at Witte Zaal, Gent. 22 January-6 March 2010.
A publication, an installation and a studio, all three form a part of 'Book, A Room', a project as a result of a research conducted by Frank Depoorter and Lore Rabaut since early 2009. The subject of the research is the objective and the subjective perception of one (exhibition) space, a place where art is displayed, where meetings take place... 'Book, A Room' is it not the end but rather a state of affairs or cross-section of a 'layered' and multifaceted research.
